A splash screen is actually an image which appears while your website is loading. This splash screen may appear while reloading your website. There are specific dimensions, for every size of display. In technical terms, they are “mdpi, hdpi, xhdpi, xxhdpi…….etc”. Now you guys might be thinking that what are the resolutions or dimensions for these images, but don’t worry because all the resolutions of the images are listed below.

Resolutions:

  • LDPI:
    • Portrait: 200x320px
    • Landscape: 320x200px
  • MDPI:
    • Portrait: 320x480px
    • Landscape: 480x320px
  • HDPI:
    • Portrait: 480x800px
    • Landscape: 800x480px
  • XHDPI:
    • Portrait: 720px1280px
    • Landscape: 1280x720px
  • XXHDPI:
    • Portrait: 960px1600px
    • Landscape: 1600x960px
  • XXXHDPI:
    • Portrait: 1280px1920px
    • Landscape: 1920x1280px

Note: Keep in mind that splash screen must be in a .png format.

Rename your file as “splash_loading” and paste it in the mipmap>splash_loading. Now, you will be able to generate signed apk. You may keep your own custom image as well.
